The Macon Area Career and Technical Education Center (MACTEC) is now accepting applications for a Building Trades Instructor for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

Job Goal:

 

The Skilled Technical Sciences (STS) Instructor provides students with rigorous, industry-aligned instruction in their specialized technical field, preparing them for entry-level employment, apprenticeships, advanced training, and industry-recognized certifications. This position supports high-quality hands-on learning, technical skill development, safety practices, and professional expectations that reflect current industry standards. The instructor will collaborate with MACTEC staff, community partners, and industry advisory committees to support student success and ensure program relevance and compliance.

 

Working Conditions:

 

This position requires work in classroom, laboratory, shop, and field environments. Collaboration with students, families, faculty, employers, and community partners is expected. Programs may require occasional evenings or weekends for industry events, student competitions, program advisory meetings, or professional responsibilities. The role also requires operation of tools, machinery, equipment, and technology pertinent to the specialty area.
