The Macon R-1 County School District is currently accepting applicatoins for a Middle School Building Trainer for the 2024/2025 School Year.

 

RESPONSIBILITY 

The Middle School Building Trainer leads the training and development of the educational staff.   They will be a highly qualified educator who is knowledgeable about curriculum and instruction and is able to increase student learning by fostering instructional excellence throughout the building.  The trainer will engage in the delivery of professional development, including observing teachers, coaching & modeling instructional and assessment strategies, and providing feedback that ensures effective instruction and student learning.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

1.  Assists MIddle School Principal in establishing and maintaining an effective learning climate. 

2.  Develop and implement professional development for the educational staff in the Middle School.

3.  Provide appropriate coaching, modeling, and feedback on the implementation of instruction and classroom management.

4.  Assists with the gathering, examination, and analysis of formative and summative assessment data to identify concerns for individual teachers and groups of teachers.  Provides instructional training and support that is responsive to the identified needs of the students.  

5.  Provide training and support for classroom motivation and management strategies.

6.  Provide teachers resources related to instruction, curriculum, and behavior management. 

7.  Assumes responsibility for the implementation and observance of all Board Policies and regulations with regard to student management. 

8.  Maintains active relationships with students, parents, and the community.

9.  Coordinates building and district expectations regarding student behavior.

10.  Coordinates building and district expectations regarding communication with parents. 

11.  Attends special events held to recognize student achievement and attends school sponsored activities, functions, and events. 

12.  Assumes responsibility for his/her professional growth and development.

13.  Assists in the evaluation of instructional and non-instructional staff members.

14.  Serves as the principal in the absence of the building principal.

15.  Assumes other duties as assigned.

 

Terms of Employment:

Regular contract with additional days added.  Salary and work year to be established by the Superintendent.
